Kristin Beran Krupp is named 2024 Richmond REALTOR® of the Year. In a vibrant real estate market like Richmond, it takes a unique combination of dedication, integrity, and expertise to stand out. This December, the Richmond Association of REALTORS® (RAR) recognized an exemplary professional by bestowing its highest honor—2024 REALTOR® of the Year—on Kristin Beran Krupp, founder, and owner of The Beran Group at Shaheen, Ruth, Martin & Fonville.
Richmond REALTOR of the Year
The RAR bestows the REALTOR® of the Year award as its highest honor, celebrating a member who embodies the REALTOR® spirit. As a lifelong resident of the metro Richmond area, Krupp approaches real estate with a foundation rooted in deep local knowledge, tireless advocacy, and a genuine desire to serve clients and colleagues. RAR selects award recipients based on their extraordinary business accomplishments, civic involvement, and commitment to advancing the profession locally, statewide, and nationally. Krupp exemplifies all these qualities and more.
“Kristin has made integrity, empathy, and service to others the hallmarks of an incredibly successful twenty-year career,” said Laura Lafayette, CEO of RAR and Central Virginia Regional Multiple Listing Service (CVR MLS). “She leads one of the most successful teams in our region by understanding and meeting the needs of the agents she leads and the clients she serves.”
A Stellar Track Record of Success
With an impressive 20-year career, Krupp has completed over 1,200 transactions, totaling more than $310 million in residential sales. She currently leads The Beran Group, a team of more than 17 agents, and ranks as the number one team at Shaheen, Ruth, Martin & Fonville. Her leadership style and strategic insight provide immense value to her colleagues, clients, and the broader Richmond real estate community.
Krupp’s influence also extends to the national stage. She serves as a member of the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) Conventional Finance Committee, an exclusive role granted to only a select few among the 1.5 million REALTORS® in the U.S. In 2023, she took on the role of President of RAR and CVR MLS, applying her expertise to policy development, community initiatives, and the advancement of industry standards.
Beyond the Numbers: A Personal Commitment to Richmond
Born and raised in Metro Richmond, Krupp’s roots run deep. Her passion for her hometown shines through in her professional achievements. Kristin provides mentorship to newer agents and actively participates in community-building initiatives. She has shaped Richmond’s housing landscape by advising local and national builders, including America’s top homebuilder. Her influence also extends to assisting Fortune 500 firms with executive relocations, enriching the lives of Richmond’s residents.
Krupp’s education and accolades further underscore her dedication. Kristin holds a B.S. in Mass Communications from Virginia Commonwealth University. In addition, she has earned multiple certifications. These include the Institute for Luxury Home Marketing, the Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) designation, and the At Home With Diversity (AHWD) certification. Furthermore, she is among the top 1% of REALTORS® who have achieved the prestigious Circle of Excellence Certification (C2Ex)
Kristin balances her packed schedule by enjoying time with her family. She actively pursues her interests in reading, travel, tennis, and Pilates. Her vibrant home life reflects the warmth and authenticity that she brings to her real estate practice each day.
