William Andrews with Shaheen, Ruth, Martin & Fonville Real Estate
William is a native of Essex County, Virginia and comes from a large land-owning family. As a child he lived at the Ritchie House in Tappahannock, where his father before him had grown up. At the age of 12 he and his family moved to Oakland Farm in Upper Essex, where he and his wife, Karin and daughter Caroline, now reside. He is an Alumni of Aylett Country Day School and a graduate of Essex High School. After a successful 40+ year career in the Ag and Farming Industry, William saw a need that he could fill, assisting his wife Karin Andrews, who travels quite a bit throughout the major estate regions of Virginia, the Northern Neck, Middle Peninsula and Williamsburg. At about the same time that he retired from farming, the opportunity also presented itself to move back to the 400-acre farm he had grown up on.
William’s years in the farming industry has equipped him with valuable expertise when it comes to land and estate management, wildlife habitats, land use and best farming practices. His favorite part about the practice of Real Estate is the people aspect of their work and being present whenever and wherever needed to help facilitate a successful transaction.
He is married to Karin Andrews, and the proud father of two beautiful daughters, Kristen (32), Caroline (20) and one grandson Connor.
