King William County
King William County is located in the Tidewater area of Virginia. The Pamunkey and Mattaponi Rivers form the southwest and northeast boundaries of this 286 square mile county. The incorporated town of West Point is located at the juncture of the Pamunkey and Mattaponi Rivers, where the York River is formed. King William County is 30 miles northeast of Richmond, the state capital, and 80 miles south of Washington, D.C. The Port of Hampton Roads is 60 miles southeast.
