Stoner Winslett’s, The Nutcracker, returns in December to enchant audiences with all of its splendor and beauty. As the beloved characters of this dazzling production come to life to Tchaikovsky’s magnificent score, children and adults alike will be swept away by the magic of the holidays. December 14th- 23rd at the Carpenter Theatre at Dominion Energy Center. Get tickets here.
The fifth season of Richmond’s temporary ice rink is open this year from November 28th- January 4th. After some time on the rink, skaters can defrost by the fire pit or warm up with a cup of hot chocolate and s’mores while listening to holiday music. Food trucks for this year include Boardwalk, Bodillaz, Opa and Carytown Burgers & Fries with Soul Ice. Located at the corner of Broad and 6th St. A great family outing or date night!
Tacky Lights season is here! You can plan a do-it-yourself tour with a guide that provides door to door directions, photos and a full list of houses. You can also get a group together and have someone do the driving for you, book a limo, bus or trolley and start a tradition with your friends and family! The lighting of the tree has already gone and passed, but throughout the season visitors can enjoy musical performances by some of Richmond’s most talented performance groups. Each concert begins promptly at noon in the Palm Court or the Rotunda. Enjoy lunch at TJ’s before or after one of these uplifting performances. Act fast because reservations fill up quickly and are required for the month of December!
