I’m writing to show my appreciation for the wonderful job that Ashley and Sally Slate did in helping me find a new home and sell my old home. In January of 2023, I had been looking on my own, without success, for over a year to find a new home that would be suitable to carry me through my retirement years. Growing increasingly frustrated with the hot housing market, I decided to call Sally Slate. In 2013, Sally had helped my husband sell his home in a very short amount of time after another agent had let it languish on the market for months, and I remembered her professionalism. On a cold January night, I left a message asking Sally to call me when she had a chance. The next morning at 9AM my phone rang, and a sweet voice said, “Becky, this is Ashley Slate. I’m Sally’s daughter, and she asked me to call you right away.” We talked for a while, and Ashley gave me great advice and suggestions about how to pursue my home search. I said that I would like for her and her Mom to serve as my buyer’s agents. We made plans to meet, and at the end of the call, I asked about how Sally was doing. Ashley told me that Sally was in the hospital getting ready to have surgery after a fall but had insisted that my phone call had to be returned. I thought to myself, “Now that’s a true professional!

In November of 2023, I found the home that I had been looking for. Knowing that we would have to move quickly in making a successful offer, Ashley guided me seamlessly through the process, and Sally used her institutional knowledge and contacts to make sure that even my most arcane questions were answered quickly and thoroughly.

I love my new home and community – it’s exactly what I wanted and needed for this stage of my life. I’m so very grateful to the Sally and Ashley Slate Team for all that they did to make my dream a reality.

Sally helped my mother sell her house in just a few months. It had been on the market for a couple of years prior with another agent. Dream come true

We first met Mike on a very cold day touring a new build similar to the house we wanted to build. He had great energy describing one of his focuses which is to find properties in the city of Richmond and build new homes on them. We had found a unique situation which was an empty lot in the city that was available to build our dream house . He was representing Matt Ellington who would be building the house on this lot. Mike was very professional in helping us make the whole dream possible.
We knew it was a special situation but had to wait a few months before we were ready to offer a contract. Mike recognized this was our dream and worked it out for this to happen for us. We are so happy with our gorgeous new home in an area that is quickly becoming a sought after area in the city as people are rediscovering city living .
